Joining Teamwork.com

I have been mostly working at service companies or providing software engineering services as a freelancer (except when I built my product startup; you can read more about the experience here). It is an entirely different experience when your work is for clients and you do not own things in the long term, as most clients externalize services for building MVPs or POCs, but as soon as they get traction, they start hiring their own engineering teams.

The ownership and connection that you can build when working for a product company is something you will never experience in a service company.

I used Teamwork.com in the past to organize my freelance projects, and I was happy to find that my good friend Diego Freniche has been working at Teamwork.com for a few months now. He mentioned that they were looking for Backend Engineers.

It is great to find an opportunity to work on a product that you have been using and love, so I decided to apply. I am joining the Platform team as a Senior Golang Backend Engineer.
